Sync links a master and slave oscillator, letting you scrub through pitch variation to add harmonics on top of the fundamental. It is a fast way to dial in complexity without touching anything else.
Wavetable swaps in more complex waveshapes you can scrub through, modulate with an LFO or filter envelope, and blend together using formant and semitone controls.
FM synthesis trades the usual shape knob for sliders controlling FM amount, harmonic and inharmonic content, shape, and the mix between modulator and carrier.
