Music Tech Help Guy runs through a few Piano Roll navigation tricks in Logic Pro that make MIDI editing faster. The same zoom controls from the main tracks area work here too, including clicking the background and hitting Z to fit everything in view.
Snap to grid in the Piano Roll has its own toggle, separate from note audition. Turn off audition and you can select notes without triggering sound, useful when you're just rearranging without wanting to hear every note fire.
Follow playhead auto-scrolls the editor during playback, so you're not manually dragging the view forward while checking your quantized parts.
