Ableton Live's default settings go deeper than tracks, you can lock in specific parameter tweaks on individual devices too. This bit shows how to set a low-cut on EQ Eight as its new default, so every future instance of that device loads with the cut already dialed in.
The process is simple: adjust the parameter you want, right-click the device header, and choose Save As Default. From that point on, any new EQ Eight you drop onto a track, even a completely different one, opens with that same low-cut applied automatically.
This is worth setting up if you find yourself making the same EQ move over and over, like rolling off sub-rumble on every vocal or guitar track. It saves the small, repetitive setup work so you can get straight to the parts of a mix that actually need your ears.
