Every MIDI note carries a velocity value, and Ableton Live shows you all of them in the velocity window right below the piano roll. This quick tip covers how to work with that view so you can actually see what you're editing.
Click and drag the velocity window vertically to resize it, giving you more room to spot and adjust individual note velocities. Hit the minus and plus keys to zoom in and out, making it easier to fine-tune dynamics across a busy MIDI clip without losing precision.
