This walkthrough shows how to set custom default states for audio and MIDI tracks in Ableton Live, so every new track loads with your preferred setup already in place. Instead of manually adding the same device every time, load it once, right-click the track, and select Save As Default.
The example loads EQ Eight onto an audio track and saves it as the default, so any new audio track created afterward automatically includes that EQ already inserted. Small setup, real time saved over a full project.
