MusicTechHelpGuy polishes a double-tracked acoustic guitar in Logic Pro using Channel EQ and panning. He starts from the "Bright Acoustic Guitar" preset, then pulls up the low shelf to restore some warmth that the preset strips out.
Option-dragging the EQ onto the second guitar track applies the same settings to both, keeping the tonal balance consistent across the pair.
Panning one guitar left and the other right creates a wide stereo image, but only because the two tracks are separate performances. Duplicating a single take and panning the copies left and right won't produce real stereo width, since there's no performance variation between them to create the effect. Genuine double-tracking, not copy-and-pan, is what makes the width happen.
