MusicTechHelpGuy shows a simple Logic Pro setup that saves time when tracking vocal takes. Set your cycle range around the section you're recording, then add a bar or two of pre-roll before the actual phrase starts.
That pre-roll means the transport begins recording before the downbeat, so you're already rolling and in the pocket when the real material kicks in, instead of scrambling to hit the first note cold.
With cycle recording enabled, playback loops back to the start of that range automatically after each pass. You can run take after take on a phrase without stopping to reset the playhead every time, keeping the vocal session moving.
