Bitwig Studio's note expressions let you automate parameters on a per-note basis, independently of every other note playing at the same time. This bit covers the Edit view, where you get a focused workspace for note placement, velocities, and these per-note expressions.
Micro pitch expressions are the clearest example of what this system makes possible: instead of reaching for pitch bend, which moves the entire channel, you can draw a pitch curve that applies only to a single note, leaving everything else untouched. Each note can follow its own path over time.
