Each of the eight control knobs and the XY pad gets assigned to a different parameter: LFO rate, drive, filter resonance, pan, reverb send, tuning, effects, and filter cutoff. That mapping is what turns the pad into a real performance tool.
Once parameters are mapped, moving between snapshots creates morphing and movement across the sound. This can be recorded as automation, capturing that motion permanently into the track.
The same modulation approach works on the amp envelope, letting attack, decay, sustain, and release shift over time. Renaming each control also keeps complex patches organized and easier to perform with later.
