The Bitwig team walks through the stereo detune option inside Grid oscillators, demonstrating how every signal in The Grid is inherently stereo and how that architecture makes stereo detuning possible. When stereo detune is engaged, the detuning value is applied positively to the left channel and negatively to the right, creating a widening phase movement between the two sides.
The oscilloscope's behavior gets a brief but useful note: its default pitch mode locks the display to the played note, so the waveform stays visually stable while the stereo detune movement remains visible as a separate layer of motion. That separation makes it easier to hear where phase cancellation is occurring.
