This short Learn Live clip covers two clip management shortcuts in Ableton Live's Arrangement View: deactivating clips and copying them to new positions. To deactivate a clip or a selected portion, right-click and choose Deactivate Clip, or press 0 on your keyboard. This is useful for temporarily silencing a section without deleting it.
To copy a clip, hold Alt and drag it to a new position in the arrangement. Dragging a copy into an empty space goes one step further, creating a full duplicate of the track along with the clip.
