This Ableton tutorial walks through the process of capturing a live Session View performance directly into the Arrangement View, turning a freeform clip-launching session into a fixed, editable timeline.
The workflow starts by resetting the transport to 1.1.1, then activating the Arrangement Record button before triggering clips as usual. Everything played in Session View gets written into the Arrangement in real time, visible as you switch between views.
Once the performance is done, stopping playback and pressing the Back to Arrangement button on the Master track tells Live to play back the recorded arrangement rather than continuing to respond to Session View clips. It's a clean handoff from improvisational performance to linear arrangement.
