Tokøta from Mastering.com shows how to strip Ultra Beat down to a blank slate for building drum kits entirely from your own samples.
Clearing the built-in synth engine mutes every pad until you load something in, giving you a clean canvas instead of a preset kit.
From there, drag in one-shots for kick, clap, hi-hats, snare, and 808, whether pulled from free sample packs or your own library, to construct a custom kit pad by pad.
Once loaded, each sample can be manipulated further (reversed, trimmed, and shaped) inside Ultra Beat's sampler mode.
