Ableton's Learn Live series closes out its Redux walkthrough by combining both sides of the device and using the Dry/Wet slider to blend the fully degraded signal with the original. This gives you a master intensity control over the whole effect, letting you go from subtle digital coloring to complete signal destruction.
With downsampling and bit reduction stacked together, Redux can add gritty texture to synths and drums or reshape them entirely depending on how far you push the blend.
