MusicTechHelpGuy demonstrates a Logic Pro shortcut for automating several tracks at once. Instead of adjusting each track's volume separately, drag the Marquee tool across the section you want to change on multiple selected tracks, then click and drag up or down to move them all together.
He uses this to rebalance backing vocals against each other in a chorus, then applies it to soften an entire drum bus through a verse before it builds back up into the pre-chorus.
He also shows how to shape that transition into a smooth ramp rather than a hard jump, and how to double-click any automation point to delete it if you need to start that section over.
